Xbox Store UI Leak May Be a Peek Into Xbox Series X's Own Interface
If a new leak is to be believed, a new Xbox Store UI could be coming before the end of the year, likely to coincide with the release of Microsoft's next-generation platform, Xbox Series X. The next-gen console wars are in full swing, with Microsoft and Sony both gearing up to launch their new systems before the end of 2020. The PlayStation 5 reveal event was recently delayed due to the civil unrest rocking the nation and the world, but both companies so far remain committed to launching their respective consoles this holiday season.
While both systems represent a generational leap from their predecessors, the Xbox Series X is positioning itself as more of a companion to the PC, rather than a huge departure beyond the Xbox One's capabilities or library. As such, the Series X isn't expected to have many exclusive next-gen titles in its first year, with its most high-profile game, Halo Infinite, arriving on both the Xbox One and the Series X, as well as PC. At least initially, Microsoft is planning for the Xbox Series X to exist alongside the Xbox One before eventually taking its place in the new console's early years.
