Why Android phone users will never have to worry about battery life again
Your next Android smartphone could be set for a major battery boost thanks to Qualcomm. The US chip manufacturer has revealed its latest charging technology, which could see your smartphone refilled from flat to 50 percent in just five minutes.

That would be hugely useful and could make the nightmare of running out of power a thing of the past. After all, if you notice your smartphone is in the red before heading out to meet friends – five minutes plugged into the wall will be more than enough to get you through an evening out, or a quick trip to the shops.
There's plenty of firms, like OnePlus and Huawei, which are already offering fast-charging, but nothing quite matches what Qualcomm has planned.
