UPDATE: Trump wraps up Carson City rally after speaking on Biden, the media, COVID-19 and more
UPDATE: Something strange is happening in North Carolina, Michigan and Nevada, President Donald Trump told a Carson City audience on Sunday.
Trump — speaking to a crowd of around 5,000 mostly unmasked supporters gathered at the Carson City Airport — said he expects to win each of those potentially crucial presidential battlegrounds, despite polls that show him consistently trailing Democrat Joe Biden.
“The lines are miles long and they’re wearing caps and badges and those beautiful shirts,” the president said, referring to his supporters in each of those states. “There’s even more enthusiasm now than we had four years ago. By a lot. In Michigan, everybody’s expecting we’re going to do well.”

“Something strange is happening in Michigan and other places, because we’re not at 20 percent, we’re leading.”
Trump then turned to his favorite target: former Vice President Joe Biden, who he said shouldn’t have even won the Democratic presidential nomination.
Under Biden, he said, taxes would be “quadrupled” and military spending would be “cut to the bone.”

“Is there anybody that’s gonna vote for (Biden) in this crowd?,” Trump asked. “He should’ve never even got the nomination. It would’ve gone to Bernie (Sanders) before Elizabeth Warren split up the vote.
