Turns out Prince William loves a cheeky Nando's
Last night saw Prince William's documentary Football, Prince William and Our Mental Health air on BBC One, showing the royal family member meeting with various players and fans to discuss how the sport can encourage conversations about mental health (it's worth a watch, by the way).
During one discussion, William meets with a man called Jamo from South Wales who shares his experiences of anxiety, which he says came seemingly out of the blue but that he believes could be related to being made redundant a few years back.
Today, Jamo is back in employment and works for everyone's favourite chicken restaurant Nando's (which recently announced that over 90 branches have reopened for delivery). When this crops up in their chat, Jamo asks the prince, "Do you like Nando's?" to which he quickly replies, "I like Nando’s, everyone likes a Nando’s." You're not lying there, William.
Jamo, who clearly loves this newfound fact as much as the rest of us, then asked when the Duke of Cambridge last had one. "It was a while ago now," William admits, before revealing that his love for the home of PERi-PERi actually came about after he was introduced to it by a close protection officer. Well done to you, Mr Policeman, sir.
"In fact, the policeman who’s on with me again [today], he’s the one who gets me the Nando’s the whole time. It’s his fault," Prince William then jokes to Jamo, who laughs too.
