'The Real': Loni Love Makes Announcement About Host Replacements After Tamera Mowry and Amanda Seales Exit the Show
The Real is no stranger to panel changes, but there’s a major shakeup happening as of writing.
The show is down to just three co-hosts after Tamera Mowry and Amanda Seales exited the show earlier in 2020. But it doesn’t look like it’ll be that way for long. Co-host Loni Love recently wrote on Instagram that fans can expect them to name a replacement by the end of the summer.
Five hosts were introduced when The Real debuted in 2013: Adrienne Bailon, Tamera Mowry, Tamar Braxton, Jeannie Mai, and Loni Love.
After three years on the show, Braxton was fired for reasons that are still unclear at the time of this writing. (While some reports say she didn’t fare well with viewers, there are rumors that Love allegedly conspired to get Braxton fired, which she has repeatedly denied.) From there, the panel operated as a foursome for years before Seales joined the show in January. However, the actor left the show six months later due to censorship issues.
Just over a month after Seales’ exit, Mowry announced that she had also decided to move on from the show. She cited a desire to focus on her family and other career opportunities in a statement shared on Instagram. However, sources have claimed that she quit over a salary reduction, which she seemed to deny in a later social media post.
