TalkTalk Down and Internet Status: Broadband not working for UK customers on May 29
TalkTalk appears to be having issues this morning, with numerous reports of users being unable to access some of the service provider's core broadband services.
Even an attempt to check TalkTalk's own Service Status Dashboard is also not working, returning 504 Gateway Time-out at the time of writing.
Even some of Daily Star's own writers, working from home, have logged problems with the service.
Meanwhile issues reported on DownDetector, the Independent website which monitors website outages, has spiked.
DownDetector, received a massive surge in reports with most concerning 'Internet' problems as well as problems with 'emails'.
For those who do not know, DownDetector is an independent website which tracks social mentions around certain topics to detect outages across the globe.
And as they suspected TalkTalk is having issues, with the broadband internet, television and home phone service provider confirming issues on their social accounts and official website.
Problems seemed to begin at around 10.10am and very quickly there were over 12146 reports of users unable to use the service.
The official Twitter account for TalkTalk has yet to make a statement on the issues reported by customers
Understandably TalkTalk users are best than pleased, with many taking to social media to vent their frustrations. Here's a quick cross selection of problems reported:
"Hey @TalkTalk is service down in LS15 no Internet here and can't log into my talktalk account on data either to run a health check."
"@TalkTalk have your servers completely fallen over? Internet outage on all devices ...
