Robert Pattinson may have become a household name thanks to his role in the Twilight movies, but his career neither started nor ended with Edward Cullen. The actor had been a part of other projects prior to stepping into the glittery skin of Edward, the largest of which was Cedric Diggory in the Harry Potter franchise. Since the Twilight movies concluded, Pattinson has done plenty of indies and is currently gearing up for his next huge role in The Batman.
But even though Pattinson has a solid career outside of the Twilight Saga, it’s hard to forget about the years he spent starring in Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, Breaking Dawn – Part 1, and Breaking Dawn – Part 2. For four years, Pattinson dedicated much of his time to portraying the world’s broodiest vampire. And while fans may be divided on which of the five films is their favorite, for Pattinson one clearly stands out as his favorite experience.
In an interview with The Washington Post, Pattinson opened up about his experience shooting the popular Twilight films. The actor shared that filming the first movie in the franchise was a special experience for him. Because most of the cast of Twilight was unknown up until that point, the experience of shooting the film together was truly unique and exciting. Pattinson shared that the collective excitement made it feel really special.
