Rhian Brewster fuels talk of £25m Sheffield United move with Liverpool social media post
Rhian Brewster has fuelled talk of a Liverpool exit by liking a post linking him to Sheffield United on Instagram.
The Blades are keen on adding a striker to their squad in this transfer window, with Monday's disappointing defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers underlining the need for more firepower up front.
One player they have been linked with is Liverpool starlet Brewster, who appears to be available in this window.
The 20-year-old has now sparked fresh speculation that he is on his way to the Blades by liking a post about the rumours on Instagram.
Rising Ballers, an Instagram page that shines a spotlight on young players, speculated that Liverpool would insist on a buy-back clause if they did sell Brewster.
The post said: "Rhian Brewster will possibly leave Liverpool to join Sheffield United for £25m.
"Klopp will put on a buy-back clause if this deal goes through. What you lot saying on this move for Rhian?"
With Liverpool having to sell in order to fund a move for Bayern Munich star Thiago, Brewster has been identified as one of the players who could be on their way out of Anfield.
The striker, an under-17 World Cup winner with England, has yet to leave his mark on Liverpool's first team, but he enjoyed a successful spell on loan at Swansea City last season.
