Paul George and Kawhi Leonard guide Clippers to easy win over the Pelicans

Everything was working for the Clippers on Saturday as they ran away with the victory, defeating the Pelicans 126-103. Paul George led the way for LA, as he finished with 28 points in 25 minutes of play. His damage came from beyond-the-arc, as he went 8-for-11 from three. All of his field goals were from deep. He also added three rebounds and three steals. George became the first player in franchise history to have at least eight 3-pointers and at least three steals in a game. Kawhi Leonard had a great game as well, finishing with 24 points in 26 minutes. He added six rebounds and five assists too. Overall, the Clippers were absolutely lights out from three. They finished the game with 25, a brand-new franchise best, as they shot 53.2 percent from deep. The 16 they knocked down in the first half was a franchise record. Six different players drained at least two from deep, and 10 Clippers players knocked a three down. Overall, this was just an impressive game all around from the Clippers. There’s not much else to say. They shot incredible from deep, played tough tenacious defense for 48 minutes against the Pelicans, and just looked like the team we’ve become accustomed to seeing. My biggest takeaway was the fact the Clippers committed only five turnovers today as opposed to the nearly 100 they committed the other day against the Lakers.
