Where several districts have gone for 10-day stringent lockdown to stop the spread of the virus.This order will be in force from July 1 till the midnight of July 15, unless withdrawn earlier."It is apprehended that there is a likelihood of spread of the COVID-I9 virus through gatherings of persons in public or private areas and that there is a grave danger to human life, health or safety due to the same. There are sufficient reasons/grounds for passing prohibitory orders under section 144 of (CrPc)," reads the notification signed by Deputy Police Commissioner Pranay Ashok in his capacity as Executive Magistrate.Even before, section 144 was in place.
