Mass Effect Trilogy Logo & Listing Surface Online Early In Retail Leak
A new listing on Portuguese website GamingReplay may have leaked an upcoming Mass Effect trilogy remaster that's due to release in October for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The Mass Effect series has been on hiatus since the disappointing launch of Mass Effect: Andromeda in 2017, but that hasn't stopped fans from requesting a full HD remake of the original trilogy made specifically for modern hardware. The last few months have seen numerous rumors and leaks about the supposed remastered collection, although EA has been very quiet on the subject.
While BioWare made it clear last year that the studio was not yet done with the Mass Effect franchise, there has been no news about any new games in the series for some time. In fact, EA has specifically said that it was putting a pause on the franchise after the critical and commercial failure of Mass Effect: Andromeda. Although a new entry might not be in development, there have been constant rumors about a possible remaster of the original trilogy. One previous leak by UK retailer GAME even listed a September 29th launch date for the collection.
