Eintracht Frankfurt's Martin Hinteregger notched an unconventional hat trick on Saturday afternoon as the centre half was on the losing side during his side's 5-2 hammering to Bayern Munich. The German champions avenged their shock 5-1 loss to Hinteregger's side at the Allianz Arena as Hans-Dieter Flick's side ran riot in what was, on the whole, a comfortable afternoon's work for the Bundesliga leaders. Although they did suffer a brief scare in the second half when, 3-0 up, Hinteregger notched a four-minute brace to drag his side back into the contest. But Frankfurt's hard work in getting back into the contest was undone when Gelson Fernandes's loose pass was latched onto by Alphonso Davies who struck past Kevin Trapp in goal. And their misery was further compiled when Serge Gnabry prodded the ball past Trapp and Hinteregger, in an effort to clear the ball, poked it into his own net. That calamity made it three goals for the Dane on the afternoon, meaning Frankfurt have conceded eight goals in their first two games back in the league in a concerning turn of events for last season's Europa League semi finalists.
