Kate, Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William have delighted the nation with touching stories of parenting their three children, Prince George , Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis , throughout the coronavirus lockdown. Kate has described the “ups and downs” of parenting and describes her central parenting ethos as remaining upbeat and smiling. But which classic parenting principle beloved by many parents has been condemned by Kate?
This year, Kate has spoken out candidly about parenting on several occasions.
Speaking to author Giovanna Fletcher on her podcast Happy Mum, Happy Baby, Kate discussed a range of topics related to parenting including mother guilt and her own experience of facing the world just hours after giving birth.
Speaking about “mum guilt”, Kate said: “Anyone who doesn't as a mother is actually lying.
“There's such a pull, but I am such a hands-on mom, and whatever you're doing you want to make sure you're doing the uttermost best job you can for your children.”
She added: “And you know, even this morning, coming to the nursery visit here, George and Charlotte were like, ‘Mummy, how could you possibly not be dropping us off at school this morning?'”
