Giants give Joe Judge 1st victory (20-19 over Washington) ... and now they’re NFC East contenders?
As the Giants were celebrating their first win of the season, the Eagles were crumbling over an hour away in Philadelphia.
Joe Judge got his first win of the season, a 20-19 victory over the Washington Football Team that, all of a sudden, has them in legitimate contention for a playoff spot in an abysmal NFC East.

No, this is not a football team with playoff-level talent, but in this division, that doesn’t really matter much in 2020.
The Giants (1-5) are bad. Washington (1-5) is worse. The Eagles (1-3-1) are a mess. The Cowboys (2-3) won’t play until Monday night, but they’re in bad shape, too, and could lose to the Cardinals.
So, what does that all mean?
A few quick thoughts after the Giants finally pulled out their first win since Dec. 22.
Before we get into the job the Giants did in getting Sunday’s victory, let’s consider what’s coming — the Giants will travel to Philadelphia on Thursday with a chance to make serious headway in the division.
The Eagles have more talent than the Giants at this point, but that hasn’t mattered much. They were beat up by the Ravens on Sunday, and Carson Wentz (11 turnovers) is turning the ball over even more than Daniel Jones, who has nine.
The Giants will still be underdogs, and the Eagles will be getting healthier — DeSean Jackson is expected ...
