Discover2Recover: Our new rallying call to embrace tourism and business in Torbay
Today we launch our Discover2Recover campaign as we all play our part in helping with the recovery of our vital tourism and hospitality sectors.
Now, more than ever, we urge you to embrace local tourism and back your local businesses by paying them a visit now that lockdown restrictions are easing.
Our tourist trade and hospitality industry has never known a year like it. The lockdown which followed the coronavirus pandemic has wiped out the spring and early summer trade for hundreds of businesses – from the largest tourist attractions and hotels to our myriad restaurants, shops, pubs and bars.
But now the trade, which accounts for tens of thousands of local jobs, can open for business at last.
July 4 is the day when the lockdown will be released, and today TorbayLive, in conjunction with sister print title, Herald Express, is calling on you to do your bit to help.
We want you to embrace local tourism and back your local businesses by paying them a visit.
You can be part of the recovery as South Devon says ‘Welcome Back’ to visitors by supporting your local tourist and hospitality businesses.
