Colin Kaepernick rips Fourth of July as ‘celebration of white supremacy’ on Twitter
It’s a safe bet Colin Kaepernick didn’t spend much on fireworks this Fourth of July.
Especially after checking his Twitter.
The former NFL quarterback took to the social media platform early Saturday to rip the holiday as a “celebration of white supremacy.”
“Black (people) have been dehumanized, brutalized, criminalized (and) terrorized by America for centuries (and) are expected to join your commemoration of ‘independence,’ while you enslaved our ancestors,” he wrote. “We reject your celebration of white supremacy and look forward to liberation for all.”
