Bride posing for wedding photos caught on video running from Beirut blast

A bride posing for her wedding photos was caught in the Beirut blast — and filmed running for her life amid the debris. Dr. Israa Seblani smiled proudly in her white, figure-hugging lace gown with a large train as she posed in an almost empty square close to her downtown wedding venue, Le Gray Hotel, on Tuesday afternoon. As the videographer panned down to show a yellow bouquet placed on the train of her dress, the camera shook slightly — before the main blast whipped up the dress and sent the cameraman spinning. After composing the camera, the videographer managed to return to the original spot — capturing a man guiding the bride as they fled to safety. The peaceful square was now full of smoke and broken glass, with the bride dodging overturned tables in the video viewed more than 2.5 million times by Wednesday. The explosion, blamed on 2,750 tons of fertilizer in a warehouse, killed at least 100 — a figure officials fear will rise — and has also left up to 300,00 people homeless.
