Agents of SHIELD's Final Season May Not Be the Last We See of Them

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s final season may not be the last time we ever see the show's characters. In an interview with Deadline, former Marvel Television head Jeph Loeb and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. co-showrunner Jeffrey Bell revealed that, though Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is winding down, the possibility is always open for S.H.I.E.L.D. to return in the future. "Those issues are way above our pay grade, you know, and so with the new Disney+ and with all the restructuring that Disney is doing with ABC, and Marvel, those kinds of questions really are above what we have any say in," Bell added. While the door remains open for the show and characters to return in the future, for now, the currently-running seventh season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is being treated as its last. This final season sees Coulson and his team transported to 1931 New York to take on the alien race Chromicons to preserve the history of their organization, while also meeting familiar faces.
